No more need to finalize everything before the day ends We understand that the industry is accustomed to finalizing all tasks in the system on the same day to ensure accurate representation in subsequent statistical and accounting reports. However, our system operates differently – with OCTOPUS, you can always revisit bookings and more to edit them.

We particularly see this in use when there is a busy period, and the task is therefore postponed to the following day – or with guests who wish to return with a final confirmation or continuously adjust their booking.

When you later generate statistics or finalize accounting, everything will, of course, be included on the correct date.

MAKE A PERSONAL ONLINE BOOKING

At OCTOPUS, we offer all customers a free online booking system that can be directly linked from your own website. Here, guests can easily book their stay or table, which will automatically be registered in our system.

If you desire additional design options beyond those we have developed, we have an open API that enables you to further customize the integration yourself. We are happy to connect you with your web developer, who can receive our API documentation free of charge.

As an alternative, we can also recommend FreshBooking

For example, it makes sense that the payroll employee has access to individual time records but not to create products in the take-away shop – and conversely, it makes sense that the cleaning staff knows when guests have checked out, whereas the waitstaff in the restaurant do not need that information. It's about both the company's handling of sensitive personal data and protecting your business and system, so that not all employees can change information, workflows, and structures from other departments.

Unfortunately, we still see that this is the situation for many in the hotel and restaurant industry. We honestly believe that it is completely unreasonable to bind customers to a product for several years.

At OCTOPUS, our total system comes with no contractual commitment. That means every day we must live up to both our own and our customers' expectations and give our best – whether we're in the development department, answering support calls, or helping customers with their bookkeeping.

We see many in the industry who want to change systems, but unfortunately are bound by an inhumanly long contract written in language that is incomprehensible to anyone without an extensive legal background. Typically, the commitment and extra costs are not discovered because they are extremely well hidden in the sales material.

We want to eliminate the commitment.
