Hotel Steenbergs is a self-service hotel with 18 rooms and 2 apartments in Nykøbing Mors. We decided to switch to OCTOPUS primarily because of their integration with E-conomics and its simple and intuitive registration and booking functions. Although we came from a good system, it quickly became too heavy and complicated – We are impressed with how quickly we got started with – and were happy with – OCTOPUS.

The transition from our previous system to OCTOPUS was efficient and has really made our everyday life easier with huge time savings. We particularly use the control of electronic locks and it is often praised by guests who are happy not to have to stand in line or arrive at a certain time at a reception to issue and return a physical key.

It has also created incredible freedom for our reception staff. With a receptionist-free check-in and check-out during off hours, questions can arise from guests, but with the entire system working on our phones, we can now quickly help them with everything related to the booking – before we had to drive to the hotel. The system has made it possible for us to always be available to our guests in a more efficient way while at the same time giving us time for many other things.

Our "Trustbar" (Buy from the fridge directly via mobile payment) is particularly popular with our guests, who can stock up on drinks and pay via a simple QR code from the OCTOPUS system around the clock.

We also really appreciate that the entire system, including integrations, is constantly updated. This means we no longer have to wait to see our latest registrations or get the newest features.

All in all, switching to OCTOPUS has really made a difference for us and we are very satisfied.
