Hotel Steenbergs is a self-service hotel with 18 rooms and 2 apartments in Nykøbing Mors. We decided to switch to OCTOPUS primarily because of its integration with E-conomics and its simple and intuitive registration and booking features. Although we came from a good system, it quickly became too heavy and complicated - we are impressed with how quickly we got started with - and became happy with - OCTOPUS.
The transition from our previous system to OCTOPUS was efficient, and it has really made our everyday life easier with great time savings. We especially use the management of electronic locks and it is often praised by guests who are happy not to have to queue or arrive at a specific time at a reception to pick up and return a physical key.
It has also created incredible freedom for our on-call staff. With a receptionist-less check-in and check-out during off-hours, guests may have questions, but with the whole system working on our phones, we can now quickly help them with everything related to the booking - previously we had to drive to the hotel. The system has allowed us to always be available for our guests in a more efficient way and has given us time for many other things.
Our “Trustbar” (Buy from fridge directly via mobile payment) is especially popular with our guests, who can stock up on drinks around the clock and pay via a simple QR code from the OCTOPUS system.
We also appreciate that the entire system, including integrations, is constantly updated. This means we no longer have to wait to see our latest registrations or get the latest features.
All in all, switching to OCTOPUS has really made a difference for us and we are very satisfied.
