OCTOPUS HEAT™

Save at least 30% on your energy bill with OCTOPUS HEAT™

Automatic control of heat consumption

With the OCTOPUS system, you can automatically set the temperature in the rooms – both those in use and those that are not.

The integration with Danfoss Ally™ and SONOFF products gives you many options. For example, you can set the heating in the room to automatically turn on 3 hours before arrival - and in the same way automatically turn down the heating 2 hours before check-out , when guests are typically either taking a shower, packing their bags, having breakfast or on their way out the door anyway.

You can of course control all your premises, including hotel rooms, meeting rooms, staff rooms, etc. and different setups can be made per location/area.

Another option for further savings on your energy bill could be to configure a smaller night-time temperature reduction . A degree or two can make a big difference in the big picture!

Other advantages include the fact that you can set a minimum and maximum temperature for guests – or a 'child lock' that locks the room so guests can manually set the temperature in the room.

The system also checks for open windows (if the thermostat is near the window) and turns down the heat during ventilation .

The thermostats are easy to install, as the entire system runs wirelessly – and they fit most radiators.

In addition, the system only requires an internet connection via
a gateway before you can look forward to exceptional precision and great energy savings!

Example of a weekend stay:

  • 1 hour before check-in, the room temperature will be raised
automatically to 20 degrees. The guest can always change the temperature afterwards in an interval you have determined.
    We recommend between 16-24 degrees.

  • At 11 pm, the temperature is lowered to 17 degrees, as we assume that the guest has gone to bed or will soon do so.

  • At 5 a.m., the temperature is raised again to 20 degrees, so the room can get warmer before the guest gets up.

  • At 10 a.m., the temperature is now lowered again to 17 degrees, as most hotel guests leave the hotel during the day to see the local area, meet with family and friends, etc.

  • At 4 p.m. we raise the temperature again to 20 degrees, as it obviously needs to be warm before the guest comes home.

Remember: The guest can always change the temperature themselves if desired.

  • At 11 pm there is another night-time drop to 17 degrees.

  • At 5 o'clock the temperature is raised to 20 degrees.

  • At 8 am, the temperature is lowered to 17 degrees, as the guest will be checking out that day and will therefore normally be bathing, eating breakfast, busy packing their suitcase, etc.

Please note that if the guest has set the thermostat lower than the temperature the system is set to adjust to, no adjustment will be made, as the guest may want a cold room to sleep in. This is of course respected – and it saves energy!
